This is a very special episode! Prof Sandy O’Sullivan is coming back to enrich us all with their keynote from last years’ En-Gender Conference. It was a highlight then and will be a highlight now.
Sandy is a Wiradjuri (Aboriginal) transgender/non-binary person and a Professor of Indigenous Studies in the Centre for Global Indigenous Futures at Macquarie University in Sydney. They are a 2020-2024 ARC Future Fellow, with a project titled Saving Lives: Mapping the influence of Indigenous LGBTIQ+ creative artists. The project explores the unique contribution and influence of queer artists to understand how modelling complex identities contributes to the wellbeing of all First Nations’ peoples.
Listen to part one now and stay tuned, only one week until part two will come out.
