Research Interests: I am interested in gender and women’s history within the dynamics of medical history and sports history. With a geographical focus on African, West African, and Nigerian history. Interrogating and investigating the nexus between African and global history have influenced and shaped my research.
Short Bio: Ayodele had his bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Ibadan, and is presently rounding off his master’s degree in history at the same institution. As a historian and budding scholar, Ayodele is an active member of research communities such as the Lagos Studies Association (LSA), the French Institute for Research in Africa (IFRA-Nigeria), and the South Oral History Association (SOHA). Ayodele’s research interest cuts across the intersection of African colonial and postcolonial history, with a focus on subfields such as gender history, women history, medical history, and sports history. He has a track record of publications in these fields.
