Short bio: International Affairs Graduate from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, and Masters in Gender, Society and Representation at UCL, Mónica M. Vázquez has specialized in Gender History through his research on topics such as the 1991 Swiss women’s strike and women’s repression during Spanish Francoism. Currently, she is exploring sex, gender and the body in Early Modern Spain, with a special focus on hermaphroditism. She regularly writes about gender history for divulgative publications such as Bruxismo, Tibia or Polikracia, and spends her free time making music and embroidering.
